These are the books I am most excited about in 2021! This is a carefully curated list ranging from a secret apothecary shop in London to Agatha Christie's mysterious 11 day disappearance in 1926. And not one, but two! books that have been compared to Where The Crawdad's Sing (one of my faves) to a top secret group of women charged with defending the Hawaiian Islands from attack during WWII. Of course, I love anything by Kate Quinn, and The Rose Code about the nervy female codebreakers of Bletchley Park is sure to be amazing. So much to look forward to!

December 7 is one day after my birthday, and I have always felt strangely tied to the date. All these years later, I wonder if this is why I ended up writing Hawaii WWII novels?

As always, I want to remember those who lost lives, who lost loved ones, who fought valiantly, who went on daring missions in impossible conditions (read LIGHTNING STRIKE if you want a fascinating WWII book - nonfiction), and for those who supported and comforted and were stuck at home worrying and waiting🇺🇸
